Has someone ever said that they like/love you and then their actions said something completely different?
How did that make you feel?
Maybe you felt:
😞frustrated
😡angry
☚ī¸rejected
đŸ˜Ŗneglected
đŸ˜ĸupset
đŸ¤¯confused
Whatever it was, situations like this (especially over time) lead to reflection on the relationship and the person's role in your life.
Would you keep putting up with words and actions that didn't align? (the answer is HELL NO!)
If you wouldn't tolerate neglect and confusion from others and you wouldn't show up half-ass to the people you love, why do you do it to yourself?
The same standards (if not more) should be applied to the relationship with yourself. Self-love is not just a trend or nice words (it may start with some positive words) but it is a choice (over and over again), it's work and it takes time, energy and action.
â–Ēī¸The more disconnected we are from Self the more anxious we tend to feel.
â–Ēī¸The more anxious we feel the dimmer our light gets.
â–Ēī¸The dimmer our light gets the more distant we get from our purpose and joy.
But it doesn't have to be this way.
💗You have the power to close the gap
💗Make yourself a priority
💗Treat yourself with the love, respect and admiration you so freely shower unto others.
Start small if you have to but just start. Go beyond the words and SHOW yourself you care.
